SageNet to Showcase Cybersecurity Offerings July 22-27 at Black Hat USA 2017

July 19, 2017

TULSA, OK – SageNet, a leading managed network and security services provider, will exhibit at the Black Hat USA 2017 for the first time on July 22-27 in Las Vegas. SageNet will be partnering at the conference with SIEMonster, the ground-breaking open source Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform.

SageNet is the preferred North American reseller of SIEMonster, a turnkey SIEM solution that enables organizations of any size to detect and monitor security threats to their enterprise. The platform is built on scalable, open source components. Unlike traditionally licensed SIEMs that often prove cost-prohibitive for many organizations, the community version of SIEMonster is available as a free download.

SageNet and SIEMonster cybersecurity experts will be on hand at Black Hat (booth #1947) to demonstrate SIEMonster and to discuss SageNet’s “SIEM as a Service” and “SOC as a Service” offerings.

SageNet offers a full line of cybersecurity solutions, including: cybersecurity assessments, security solution deployment, SIEM deployments, cloud security, security intelligence, virtual CISO services and managed security services.

According to Paul Truitt, SageNet’s Chief Technology and Security Officer, the Black Hat Conference provides an outstanding forum for learning, networking and sharing with some of the best minds in the industry.

“Black Hat has a mystique as a hacker gathering. While the weekend sessions at Defcon include a mix of professionals, feds and hackers, Black Hat really brings together a collection of the cybersecurity industry’s top professionals,” said Truitt. “We see it as a great opportunity for vendors, in-house IT staff and industry thought leaders to explore the latest cyberthreats and their solutions. And I’m particularly excited to have SIEMonster’s Chris Rock, the developer of SIEMonster, joining us in the booth. Chris is somewhat of a legend within the security community and we are honored to have him with us.”

“I’m delighted to be co-exhibiting with Paul’s team at Black Hat,” said Chris Rock, CEO of SIEMonster. “SageNet is a true extension of SIEMonster and together we offer a solution other firms can’t match. I’m looking forward to being back at Black Hat and hope to have the chance to share our unique capabilities with the show’s attendees.”

SageNet CEO Daryl Woodard explained that Black Hat offers an opportunity to gain insight from the industry’s top “ethical hackers” and cybersecurity thought leaders.

“Organizations are realizing that cyberthreats are growing increasingly sophisticated, and in turn, require more sophisticated defenses,” said Woodard. “I hope many of our customers and prospects will be able to attend the show and spend some time chatting with our cybersecurity team. As a Managed Services Provider, we look at security differently – it’s not just the network or the equipment or the people, it’s about looking at things holistically and helping our customers develop and maintain a culture of security awareness.”
