SageNet Names Cheek as New Vice President of Sales

TULSA, OK – SageNet, a leading managed services and cybersecurity solutions provider, announced today that Scott Cheek has joined the company as Vice President of Sales. Cheek will serve as a leader of SageNet’s growing sales and business development team. He brings more than 30 years’ retail experience to SageNet, with special expertise in the petroleum, marketing, operations and technology fields.
He previously worked as Director of Retail Technology for Sunoco Inc., where he had oversight of 6,800 locations across 29 states.
In his role, Cheek oversaw Sunoco’s Credit Card network that processed more than 1 million transactions per day, as well as their secure Communications Network and Technical Help Desk that supported all aspects of the convenience store. Cheek was also an early industry leader in the development of customer loyalty programs and served on many industry technology committees where standards for point of sale, back office and price sign integrations were developed. Cheek will represent SageNet at Conexxus, an affiliate of NACS that continues to provide direction on various technology issues to the petroleum industry.
In addition, he has served as General Manager of Sunoco’s direct heating oil and propane business and managed a deep-water terminal and commercial fuel business with over 44MM gallon in sales for the Petron Oil Corporation. Currently Cheek still serves as an advisor to the Board of Directors for AMBEST Inc., a chain of 300 Independent truck stops with headquarters outside of Nashville Tennessee.
