SageNet Names Thomas Watson as New Chief Information Officer

TULSA, OK – SageNet, a leading managed services and cybersecurity solutions provider, has named Thomas Watson as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO).
As SageNet’s CIO, Watson will serve on the company’s executive team and oversee Information Technology and the Project Management Office.
Watson comes to SageNet with more than 30 years in the technology and IT industry. He brings to the company an exceptionally broad technology background in network, IT infrastructure, security and apps development, along with extensive experience developing leading-edge, full-service infrastructure to support distributed operations for extensive domestic and international operations.
Before joining SageNet, he served as Director of Infrastructure Operations for the Williams Companies, a Tulsa-based provider of energy sector natural gas distribution and processing infrastructure with locations in 26 states and Canada. In that role, he was responsible for the Williams Companies’ IT infrastructure, database and desktop operations, network, service management and asset management with a budget of $50+ million and 200+ employees.
Watson also has worked in leadership roles at Masergy, a MPLS provider and Texas-based ILD Telecommunications, as well as working as an independent consultant for large companies such as Verizon.
He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, and a master’s degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California.
